I participate in the Scavenger Hunts on WetCanvas. The host gives us a list of 26 items to find and sketch/paint in any medium over 9 days. You can combine a few of the items at a time into a sketch. The challenge this time was to combine all of the items into one painting. It was fun to play around with the composition. I emptied the top of my bookcase and the next shelf (a shelf was one of the items in the hunt) and played around with the arrangement. If you look carefully there are a shelf, doll, leaves, flower pot, pitcher, wooden object (spoon), bottle, glass, vase, flower, and bowl on the top. The shelf has a plate, fruit, something yellow, a stuffed animal, a box, shell, rock, clock, cup, musical instrument (turtle orcarina), something silver (whistle), something brass (bell), books, a tin, and something copper (a battery). It was a challenge but a lot of fun!

WOW!! Not only did you outdo the challenge with the composition, but the painting is exceptional as well!! BRAVA, JOan!! WELL WELL DONE!
Lin - When I saw the challenge I knew I had to try it. It was so unusual of a subject for me. Thanks.
Wow, this is great! I can't believe that you managed to get all the scavenger hunt objects in the same painting. There should be some sort of a scavenger of the year award for this.
Hi Joan, I'm offering up my award for this! Applause!! A great painting and it has it all.
I'm glad you took up the challenge. I was afraid no one would. And you did a great job. After another hundred hunts, we will have to do it again.
This comes out so nice. I love how you put your arrangement together. The golden duckling just adds a delicate bright and cheerful spirit. Well done.
Mickey - Thanks. It was a challenge and a few of us were able to do it.
Jo - Thank you. You know that when Jeanne posted it I had to do it.
Jeanne - I had seen someone's from the last time it was done and I thought it was a great idea then. I didn't think it was that hard to do. Thanks & thanks for giving us the challenge.
Well done is right... great job
Helen - Thanks. It was a fun challenge to try.
