Paris has such life to it. I loved wandering the streets to find new spots to paint. There is a square up near Montmartre that is filled with artists painting and drawing. They paint portraits, draw cartoons, do silhouettes, and have easels set up and are painting and they are busy selling their work. It has such atmosphere! I tried to capture that in the painting of the Paris artists. These are 4 x 6 and are titled: "Caroussel Below Sacre' Coeur," "Montmartre Village," "Paris Artists," and "Vendors Along the Seine."

I envy your trip... love the paintings. I can't decide which I like best as they are all wonderful.
Wow! These are delightful, Joan. I particularly love your Paris artists. The composition is great with the umbrellas. Wonderful. And how lovely to have the opportunity to sketch in Paris.
Helen - Thanks so much! I had such a great time capturing France.
Robyn - Thanks!!! Paris and France were so interesting to paint.
I love the carousel and the art show. Karen liked all of your little paintings too.
Wow they sure do gather up close together. Makes my claustrophobia kick in gear. Very nice. Very nice and interesting scenes.
Mickey - Thanks. You'll get to see the rest of them in person.
Jeanne - The artists are a a bit squashed together in the square, but I think that's what attracts all the people. Thank you.
