I was on the Cross Sound Ferry from Orient Point to New London and then back. I did one of these each way.
They were done in my 5 x 7 sketchbook with a sepia ink pen and watercolors. It's a fun place to sketch people that have nowhere to go for the 1 1/2 hr trip.

Joan..these are GREAT! I really admire how you use your talents to capture what you see, versus a quick photo only! Your Italy paintings are some of my favorites!! Hope you're having a great summer!

Holly, Thanks. I've been taking my sketchbook with me so that I have no excuse for not getting something done. It's been a good summer.
Ron, I couldn't do a landscape from the ferry, so I did the next best thing.
Wonderful, I still don't have the courage to capture people like this. Also love your Hand a Day sketches on WC.
Robyn, Thanks. The people never seem to notice that I'm sketching them, so it doesn't take much courage. I've been doing a lot of sketching, but not enough painting lately.
