About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Hi Joan! Hope your weather is improving ...the sun has finally come out and the temps for a few days will be warm. LOVE this ... your love of beach and water shines in each one of these cards you do!
Lin - Thanks. I hope the sun arrives here tomorrow so my sister and I can go plein air painting. I'm tired of the rain.
Hi Joan, we were down at the beach today, the herons, seagulls, greebs, eagles, cormorants,the whole crew was there...got some good pics. There were no people to speak of or about. The day was perfect. Like your inkwork with the wawa.
Thanks, Ron. I find that on our beaches here once the people stop coming in numbers the bird population drops too. No free food!!
