On the Vine

This was done for the WDE on WetCanvas from a reference by "mbeckett." I started this with a pour and then worked on it for hours and hours (nearly 5). I don't usually spend that long on the WDE paintings, but this one just wouldn't let me stop. It kept growing. This is 7.5 x 11.

This is a right beauty, Joan. I wish you had taken progress photos. Can't imagine how many pours it took to get this delicate painting with none of the harsh edges that sometimes come with pours.

Joan, this is stunning. The grapes are sunkissed, as are the leaves. I am amazed to see the different styles you can paint as well. I really love the softness of this piece...It would look so great up on the wall!!

Mithila - Thanks. I just did 2 pours for the background and then did regular painting.

Anita - Thanks so much. I really got into this one.

Sherry - Thank you. I think the pour helps make the colors glow. Now I just wish I had done it larger.

Lin - Thanks so much. This one had a life of it's own. I don't usually spend that much time on a painting. I was in the "zone."
