This is 4 x 6 done from one of the bushes on the property where I live. I had to paint the rhodies again before they were gone.

About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

And they're a beauty, Joan!!! So interesting to see what's blooming up north this time of year and what's past blooming here -- I LOVE the colors you've used and the loose detailing!!! Hope it's a bit coolor up there too!
