BEAUTIFUL!! I really love that bit of orange against the blue shirt -- draws you right in!
To answer your questions -- the plein air group is very organized -- the coordinators ask permission prior to the group's arrival. Sometimes there's a fee to the site. The coordinators charge us a small fee $10-$20 and provide lunch, snacks, water etc. WE all eat together so that the group gets to know one another. Part of that fee is returned to the art council that sponsors the coordinators and the event. Since the coordinators are also those who keep an 'eye' on us all (even though for the most part these sites are private) -- there's a feeling of safety so that the painters can go about their work in relative ease ... very nice to be sure!
I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage.
Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Lin - Thanks so much. Your group sounds like they really know what they're doing.
This is also lovely Joan. I have no doubt that having a corona probably is his best companion there then.
