Barnsley Ruins
This is another 4 x 6 watercolor and ink that I painted at Barnsey Gardens in Georgia this week. The ruins are of the manor house which was destroyed by a hurricane that ripped the roof off of the building. Inside you can still see the layout of the rooms and get some hint of the beauty of the original structure.

LOOKS LIKE A WONDERFUL CASTLE ... BEAUTIFULLY DONE!
Joan, your watercolors and ink are just exquisite. This is no exception. Makes me sad to know that a beautiful period home was destroyed.
Lin - Thank you. Apparently it was styled like an Italian villa. I would have loved to see it whole.
Sherry - Thanks. I'm suprised they didn't repair it, but it is so interesting as it is.
