This was done for the WDE on WetCanvas. I cropped the reference a lot to focus on this man. I did him without any pencil drawing first. That takes a lot of concentration on my part. lol

About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Joan you are amzing ... this is one of your best figure painting ... BTW painting this way always needs too much focusing ... it is a bit stressful but totally rewarding ... keep it up - love to see more
