I was able to keep my November journal going while I was up in Maine for Thanksgiving. These are both about 3 1/2 x 4 done in Damariscotta, where my sister lives.

About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

These are FANTASTIC, Joan -- so rich and so filled with joyous memories!!! I got a note from someone in your plein air group - susan .... so maybe next time I'm up we can go painting together ...It was so good to see the Atlantic again! Wish I could have met you too!

Wow, You just get better and better. These are wonderful. Makes me want to go to Maine! (Maybe I'll wait until the spring.)
