Clam Bar

This was done in ink & watercolor. It is 7 x 10 and was painted in plein air. This is a local clam bar at a marina on the Great South Bay here on Long Island. A perfect spot for the sun, the breeze, a cocktail, and a bit of seafood.

Hi Joan! I really like the illustrated look you have here, with the ink! It looks so summery..I can't wait for a big basket of fried clams when I go to Maine in August!! Happy summer!!

Holly, Thanks. I'm hoping to head to Maine this month, and I'm tasting the lobster already. I'm having fun with the ink & wc.

Ron, Glad you like my "fun" style.

Jeanne - But they're so yummy... The pen seems to make it easier to do plein air without spending a real lot of time on one painting.
