7 x 10 done in plein air at a Farm Museum here on Long Island. I'm not anywhere near barns usually, but there was a billboard of a cow on the side of the road that said, "Follow me to the farm." I couldn't pass that invitation up. I'm glad I stopped.

I've never been to New York but when I think of it, I only think of the city. I didn't know they had barns there. I guess they have a lot of things that would surprise me. Good job on the painting.
Jeanne - I live about 1 1/2 hrs from Manhattan. The part of Long Island where I live has a big agricultural background, with lots of potato farms in the past. Many of them have turned into housing developments. East of me are still many farmstands and lots of wineries.
Bakersfield is an agriculture city. Grapes, onions, cotton, potatoes, sugar beets, oranges and citrus. I am used to that kind of area. Never been to a huge city like NY. I have been to Los Angeles but it is so sprawled out into so many different smaller cities. Were you born there?
Jeanne - I was born in Queens which is one of the 5 boroghs of NYC and about a 40 minute ride into the big city. So in my younger days I went into Manhattan a lot. We still go in for plays and concerts once in a while, but it's a trek from here.
