This 7 x 10 painting was done at an arboretum that I visited with my sister. It was our art day together. Birches are one of my favorite trees. They remind me of summer vacations in Maine when we were kids. I love their contrast against the rest of the landscape.

I'm glad we found this birch tree. I have a fondness for birches too, and it was fun to paint. I really enjoyed our painting outing.

Ron, It's fun to go painting with my sister, but it doesn't happen often enough. She's about 1 1/2 hrs away from me.
