I did this 11 x 14 painting for a class I was participating in on the WetCanvas site where we were doing water. We worked on reflections for a while and then everyone started doing waterfalls. I always found waterfalls difficult to paint, but after reading the tips given by the people in the group, I did two paintings. I was pleased with the way this one came out.

I left a note on Wetcanvas ... but I have to tell you how gorgeous this is!~!!! SUPER~
You did good! It actually looks like moving water. We'll have to go hunting for waterfalls to paint on our sketch days.
Where in WC was this class? Good job. I have a waterfall photo I got at the Windwolves reserve. Haven't attempted to do it yet.
Lin - Thanks. I was afraid I was going to overwork it. I'm happy with the way it came out.
Mickey - Thank you. Start thinking of waterfall locations.
Jeanne - This was in the "Learning" section of the Watercolor Forum. It was called "Let's Get Wet!"

I haven't seen it on wc... can't get on and when I do, between the site and my computer it's too slow... I know they're working on it and it will improve... but I digress.... Love the piece!
Helen - Thanks. They shut WetCanvas down yesterday and I can't get on today either. It's a good thing I have so many blogs to check.
Joan, I think you did marvelous with the waterfall. I love every bit of it including the small droplet at the bottom of the fall. Great job.
Ai - Thanks. There was a WetCanvas tutorial on painting water with a lot of great tips.
