About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Do these people ever see your art? You do so many and they are all so good. I just wondered if any of them get curious.
Oh hon -- your people are just getting better and better!!! LOVE the water here -- as well as the mom and child -- WELL DONE!!
Jeanne - I've done so many at the beach and nobody ever notices that I'm painting them. I sit far enough away and don't make a big deal out of what I'm doing.

I love this especially how you capture their shadow/reflection in the water near their legs.
