I think this is my favorite of my paintings that I did in Maine. It is 7 x 10 done while sitting on a picnic table at Shaw's Wharf in New Harbor, Maine. It is a lovely spot to paint, but the delicious aroma of lobsters cooking at the wharf was a bit distracting. But as a dedicated artist I didn't let the desire for lobster take over.

your Maine series is just amazing!! I love them all and couldn't possibly pick a favorite!!
I can smell those lobsters!
I am hard pressed to choose only ONE favorite of all your Maine painting s-- all show such a sense of serenity and calm that I just love -- this one is no exception!!! I hope you're showing these, Joan -- they'd make an incredible exhibit!
Lovely work Joan. I love the beautiful blue boat and the nested red huts in the midst of the tree. If I were there with you, I probably would abandon my plein air session and went inside for the lobster. Great motivation Joan.
Holly - Thanks. You know how inspiring Maine can be. I can't wait to see what you painted up there.
Mickey - Thank you. See what you missed by going to Oklahoma?
Lin - Thank you. Maine is such a calming place to paint.
Ai - Thanks. Sometimes you just have to give up something for the sake of your art. LOL
