I am presently taking part in another WetCanvas exchange with a Vacation/Holiday Dreams theme. This 4 x6 was done in ink & watercolor from an old photo I had taken in San Juan.

About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

BEAUTIFULLY DONE!! I LOVE THE LIGHT PURPLES IN THIS, JOAN - and your architecture is so well done!! Beautifully, moody piece .. like a dream!
Joan really nice job on this one. I like the rock wall but especially the greenery on the left side.
Lin - I have this fascination with brickwork...the older the better, so this was fun to do. Thanks.
Jeanne - Thanks. I added to the original greenery...It needed something bigger like that palm I put in.
