This is a 7 x 10 painting that I did in Maine. This beach is lovely. You can see islands and land far off into the distance, and the rocky shore and trees are perfect to paint.

About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Maine was such an influence for your magnificent paintings, Joan! Love the calm here -- I'd be walking along this shoreline for hours -- beautiful, beautiful work!
Lin - Unfortuately it is a short beach to walk on, but the view is so lovely in this spot. Thanks.
