Autumn Reflections
This was done yesterday on location at the Connetquot State Park here on Long Island. There is a river that runs through the park and this was done up near the fish hatchery. It was my first time in that part of the park but I plan to return. Because I got to the park so late I only did a 4 x 6 of this view, but I plan to go back and paint there again.

Another beauty, Joan! So fallish!!! Wonderful treatment of that complex scene!!! GRAND JOB!
Lin - Thank you. I love the colors of autumn but prefer the warmth of the summer.
I see you are now on Long Island - how many islands do you have exactly, Joan?! ;)
You have made it look absolutely delightful in its Autumn robes. I love those colours but am starting to feel my first northern hemisphere 'sad' that it's a sign of the long, dark days to come.
Robyn - Thanks. The days are getting shorter which means less plein air time.
Lovely scene. I would go back to paint more too if I was around the area. I also love how you do the simple but lovely water way.
I love all the colors in this, and how you made them dance on the water! Just beautiful!
