About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

These are great. Aren't apples such a beautiful thing to draw and paint. They almost have personalities. :)
JOAN! Those colors are absolutely lifelike!! SCRUMPTIOUS looking apples!! But that glow!! PERFECTION!!!!!
Jo - Thanks. You're so right about the apples...each has a different look even from a different angle.
Lin - Thanks. I hate when something looks so good small that I wish I had done it larger. Maybe I need to always start larger. lol
