29th Worldwide Sketchcrawl - Oct. 16, 2010

Yesterday was the 29th Worldwide Sketchcrawl. My sister, Michelle, and I did our sketchcrawl together. We started at the Lambert Castle in Patterson, NJ where I painted the castle and part of the outdoor fountain. Next we went to the Great Falls which is also in Patterson. It was strange to see this beautiful waterfall in the middle of the city! Our last stop was Abam's Farmstand which is near my sister's house. It was a really brisk, windy day to be sketching. By the end of the day we were bundled up in winter coats and hoods trying to keep warm.

Very cool, wonderful paintings on your day out. Wow, you've a castle nearby. Love the pumpkin patch scene. I was tempted to do one too, but it was just yukky out when I drove past it.

What a great crawl, Joan and marvelous results!~! I LOVE the shading on the statures!! I've been in the mountains of NC ... cool cool mornings, hot afternoons -- almost 80!!! -- and then in the 40s at night.

Are you done posting Italy paintings? I LOVE those below this post ...

I truly marvel not only at how beautiful your Italy paintings are -- but the quantity!! I totally froze up just staring with an open mouth at the beauty -- I could barely paint a stroke!

Julie - Hope you got out for the sketchcrawl. Thanks!

Anita - Thank you. I'll have to come over and see what you posted.

Lin - Thanks. Luckily we brought lots of warm layers. It was the cold wind that was the problem.

It really was cold, wasn't it! Someone should have taken photos of us in our winter coats and hoods. LOL

Your sketches came out great. I love the one of the falls.
