Sketching and painting Times Square is overwhelming. We were in Manhattan yesterday for a show. We went in early for the AWS Watercolor Show and I brought along my supplies to do something while I was in the city. I lucked out and got a chair in the pedestrian mall in Times Square. I eliminated a lot from this scene. lol This is about 5 x 7.
Please check my fake blog to see what Angelina is doing.

It is beautiful, Joan. I'd never have attempted this one, I don't think. Yes, I am a chicken.

Sherry - For a while I though I was crazy to try it. Thanks!
I can't even imagine trying to sketch all the activity in Times Square but you managed beautifully.
I find it the oddest thing that people just sit in the middle of times square. But I do love your sketch. Very cool.
GORGEOUS, Joan!!! Sounds like one wonderful time!!!
PS. how do you have time to have a blog and a fake blog???? God bless your energy level! :)

Helen - I sat there just shaking my head. lol
Carol - I didn't think I would like the idea of sitting there in the middle of Times Square, but it was a perfect spot to sketch. I even had a table. lol I don't know how I find the time to do both either.
Lin - Thanks!!
