This is an 11 x 15 watercolor done for a weekend project for WetCanvas, an online art group. Each weekend one member provides a group of reference photos, and you take your pick and do it in any medium you choose.

About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Very pretty, Joan. Makes me want a Japanese garden. I miss the WDEs but I guess I can't do everything.
I'm enjoying the WDEs. It makes me paint some sujects I normally wouldn't. I have so many things I want to try too.
