Happy Easterand Happy Spring! This 5 x 7 was done for the WetCanvas Easter card exchange. I also made prints of it to use as my Easter card to family this year. I set up the still life for this and nearly ate it before the entire painting was done.
Wow Joan. I really love those color. You did a great job of making the yellow duck look so soft. This could be a perfect Hallmark collection. Happy Easter!!!
I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage.
Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

This is so cute. I like that kind of painting where you can eat the set-up! Happy Easter!
Lin - Thanks. It was fun to do this one. I was painting and eating at the same time.
Jo - Thank you. Nothing remains except a few scraps of tinfoil and the duck, who was probably saying "I hope she knows I'm not chocolate."

One of the perks of using candy as props. Yummy.
Ai - It was fun to try to make the duck look so soft. His hair was my favorite part. Thanks.
Jeanne - I enjoyed this project, and you're right - YUM!
