As the beach season here is winding down, I'm trying to capture what I can on the days that are warm enough but aren't too windy. This is 7 x 10 done on a day that I was sitting with a building blocking the wind. The far structure is a building with a few exhibits telling about the Fire Island area.

Nice job. I guess you will be looking for other places to paint for the winter. I noticed tonight when I let the dogs out that it was pretty nippy. And tonight I was freezing with the cooler on. At the grocery I had to go back to the car and get my jacket. I guess winter is sneaking in.
Jeanne - Thanks. Either I'll have to find new places to paint or find a beach scene that I can do from the car. Fall has arrived here. I had to shut the windows the other day!!
WONDERFUL job, Joan! This painting really shows the changing season -- fabulous!!! Stay warm! We're in the 40s at night -- 70s and 80s in the day -- makes for a good headache!
Lin - Thanks. It's so strange to be wearing a jacket to keep warm!!
