These were painted in the courtyard of the Key West inn we were staying at. There were so many tropical plants and trees, and a different view from any direction. I usually painted a new scene every morning while having a champagne breakfast in the courtyard with my husband. Sometimes I was able to capture some of the other people staying there too.

Fun to see the travel/vacation paintings...good work.
Oh Joan!! These are heavenly, absolutely beautiful!! I LOVE each of them -- and those plants -- and people, and champagne breakfast?!!! Oh my gracious, hon, you did beautifully here ----each so well done! BRAVA BRAVA!
Ron - Thanks. My motto should be "have suitcase...will paint."
Linn - Thank you so much. I'll be posting more of them when I get a chance. There are a lot of them.
If I were lucky enough to have a champagne breakfast I wouldn't be able to paint a thing afterwards! Lovely, Joan. Sounds wonderful and WARM.
Brava for all those watercolours - I particularly like the chair with fern and the group under that lovely umbrella.
Robyn - I think the champagne was what kept me painting at breakfast, since I'm always itching to get moving and "paint" the town.
Joan, this is great! I have a photo of my girlfriend and I in the same setting under an umbrella with light playing everywhere, I've never been brave enough to attempt it, and now you've got me itching to try. Oh time, where does it go? LOL Have a blessed Holiday!
They all are beautiful. I especially love the first one courtyard and the last one with people having their breakfast under a big umbrella.
