4 x 6 ink and watercolor done on location the other day. I think every part of the dunes is just waiting to be sketched or painted.

About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

I can just about feel the wind on my face and smell the salty fishyness of the water... aaaahhhhhh! Wait! A gull just flew over! Great little painting!

Love this scene - makes me think of being at the beach as a kid and hiding in the dunes.
