Log by the Dunes

4 x 6 ink and watercolor done on location the other day. I think every part of the dunes is just waiting to be sketched or painted.

AWESOME!!! Joan, I really love how you've done the ink here -- just enough to show the dark tones -- wonderful wonderful wonderful!

Beautiful. It looks like it could be my beach. I like the combination of ink and watercolor and you've used just enough ink

Lin - Thanks so much!! I can't go to the beach without my pen and wcs any more!

Helen - Thank you! Glad to hear that your beach looks similar.

I can just about feel the wind on my face and smell the salty fishyness of the water... aaaahhhhhh! Wait! A gull just flew over! Great little painting!

What a pleasure to get to see this plein air.

You have such a lovely touch with these dune paintings, Joan. This is a beauty.

Love this scene - makes me think of being at the beach as a kid and hiding in the dunes.
