I definitely love the old buildings and bridges here. The first painting is of the Realto Market. I didn't get to paint the fish vendors yet. lol

About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Oh my Joan. These are both so very striking! Beautiful work and I am so glad you are painting and posting while on your vacation!
I really love these, Joan. Especially the green and yellow houses and bridge. All of them are so charming! I'll bet you had a wonderful time.
