Early morning San Marco

Lots of detail, but I tried it anyway. I sat in the square before the crowds arrived this morning.

Awesome work, Joan. Easy to see the magnificence of this place just by having the figures in the piece!

What, no pigeons?

I'm always fascinated by people who paint this church and others like it, with all that architectural detail. You did a great job on it. When you get home you have to try another large painting of this scene.

Just wonderful. You've captured it. Love the early morning light.

A great watercolor of a difficult, but beautiful setting Joan! You captured it with such gentle atmosphere.

I am having so much fun watching your paintings from Venice. I would be happy to tilt my head sideways if you were to upload a horizontal painting. I am so glad you're getting to a computer to share these with us! Keep having fun.... I'm watching. *big grin*

That's the best time of all - I walked into it at 7am on a Sunday morning and it was virtually deserted - joy of joys!

That view is a challenge though - you've done well!
