This is another watercolor and ink that is in my February journal. I had painted this tree once before and posted it here. It was called "Snowy Tree." This time I did a bit more of the scene.
I really like the detail you were able to capture in this one. The first one you did of this tree was one of the first of yours that I saw after I found your blog. I'm HOOKED on your art! LOL
BTW, yes you can totally print my prompts from my blog. I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier, but I added a button at the bottom of the post to make it easy for you to print just the post and not all that sidebars stuff. Check it out and let me know if it works for you.
I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage.
Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Joan, I love your winter snow scenes. You have a great way of painting snow. In fact you capture all of the textures in a cold winters day. Well done.
LOOKS FANTASTIC!! Glad you're doing well in the storm, Joan! Stay safe and warm!
The colors are just perfect here, Joan. I love that twisted tree trunk!
