I headed over to Sunken Meadow Park the other day. This was painted from my car in the parking lot near the golf course. I liked the addition of the fencing with the snow. This is 3 x 5.

- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Amazing what winter does to make a forest seem sparse, isn't it? Another gorgeous winter scene here, Joan.

Sherry - Thanks. I'm very selective about the number of trees I'm willing to put into one tiny painting. lol
That little fence is awesome. I'm betting that snow was pretty deep too. It feels isolated and like you are far into the country with the quite of the cold morning surrounding you.
