Oh hon -- does this ever look peaceful and just the place to run away too -- beautiful job Joan! I hope the temps have warmed up for you! I LOVE the clown too -- reminds me a bit of carnavale!
I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage.
Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Your landscapes are always so lovely, Joan. This is no exception and I am charmed by the gulls and ducks together.
Lin - Thanks. It is peaceful until people start feeding them and then it is like being in Hitchcock's "Birds." lol
Sherry - Thanks. There were quite a few varieties, and they all played nice.
ohhhhh I just want to hang out right there on that bench! I used to feed the ducks in Plano, Texas when I lived there. Loved that.
Do you sell these? or keep them for yourself?
I see ducks and no snow! Yay! Spring must be coming to Long Island.
Lovely piece.
