Our plein air group is still not meeting yet, so I went to the SBAA Sketch group yesterday. They have been meeting each week and have a model to work from. It was fun to do this, and I should have been joining them all winter. This is Nancy Ruth and the painting is 5 x 7.

my goodness... the texture of her hair and her clothing is incredible! You are a rock star. Ok, that's it. I'm starting a group to do this. Can you send me info on the specifics of what you guys do, where you go... how they organized it?
Wow, you did a great job! It's harder to work from a model than from a photo, but you were very successful.
