I met a local group of painters on Tuesday to do some plein air painting at a site that has several replicas of historical buildings. This is the small church and is 8 x 10. I think I lost the church steeple a bit, but I was happy with the way it came out.

I LOVE THIS JOAN! There's such a wonderful softness to the church and the surround foliage is really terrific against it! GREAT JOB!!! We had 10 min of rain ... sigh!
Lin - Thanks so much. I may go back there and try this one again.
10 minutes of rain won't help anything!!! We had a few downpours yesterday but mixed with some sun.
We just have hot, hot, and more hot here. So glad you found a group you can go with.
That's great that you found a group of painters to sketch with. I like the pretty little church.
Jeanne - Thanks. Luckily it was a spot with a lot of shade.
Mickey - Thanks. I think they're only doing this through the summmer, but it was fun to have some company.
Oh, I like this so very much. I love pictures of little churches. Took scads of photos in central Europe last year. You just nudged me into looking at them again.
Thank you, too, for all your nice comments.
Dana - Thanks. Little churches often have their own little personalities.
This is so delightful Joan.
