Our forecast yesterday was for rain starting in the afternoon. I tried to find a place to paint before the rain started. This was out on the north fork of Long Island about an hour east of me. I pulled off the shoulder of the road and painted this 4 x 6 from the car. Before I finished this it was showering, followed later by lots of rain.

WOWOWZA, JOan! i really LOVE the colors in this -- the flow of the paint and strokes -- truly a fresh and wonderful treatment! I don't think I've ever been to this part of the island -- looks beautiful. No rain here, sigh.
Lin - Thanks. It is a very nice spot on the island, but I'm usually just passing through on the way to the Orient Pt Ferry. I'm glad I drove out there to paint.
