Olmeto, Corsica

I'm trying something new this month. There is a blog called virtualpaintout.blogspot.com. Each month they select a place to visit and using google maps you find a view to paint and then submit it to the site for posting. It took me a while to find a view in Corsica that I really liked, and here it is. This is 7 x 10 and done in watercolors and ink.

If you are interested here is the link:

Great painting, isn't this fun and different. It took me some time to figure out how to move around, I love it, need to post my painting too! Love it

Great drawing Joan. I found three I liked but haven't found the time to do one yet. It's great to think that WHEN we go to these places we'll know our way around!

Maggie - Thanks. It was a fun idea to try.

Mario - Thank you. I haven't been to Corsica, but it was nice to visit this way.

Desiree - Thanks. I'll have to watch for your painting. It took a while to figure out how to work the map to my advantage, but I like the view I found.

Wendy - Thank you. It was frustrating at times when I found something I liked by couldn't get a good enough view. I hope you get one done.

Joan, this is a great watercolor painting. I have just found this site and hope to 'figure' it out and be on board in Feb.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!!! I LOVE WHAT YOU DID HERE, JOAN!! I'VE DONE A SIMLIAR THING IN ITALY -- WONDERFUL TIME! I ONLY HOPE THEY'LL DO MORE STREET VIEWS IN RURAL AREAS!

Peggy - Thanks so much for visiting and commenting!

Lin - Thanks! I remember when you did the paintings of Italy that way. It is frustrating to find something that looks good...but you can't back up the way you want. lol

Very amasing painting.
The Virtual Paintout is great. Corsica is wonderful and this month I did five drawings, but Bill accept only three.
Congratulations
:-)

Lovely painting. It is hard to find a 'spot', I wasted hours looking for just the right combination of easy and interesting :-) Hope to see you next month too.
