These ATCs were all done for the WetCanvas exchange project called "Pieces." I did all of mine as tiny paintings inside puzzle pieces. I have more of these to post.

About Me
- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Joan, these are so cool and such a neat idea too! My gosh, but I need to think out of the box more than I do!! LOL I love each one of these!
Aren't these clever, Joan -- I love the puzzle pieces -- but the paintings just zing!! Wonderful idea! We're expecting snow this w/e ....

I love the puzzle piece idea! When you first described it, I thought it was a clever idea, but couldn't imagine how you could make it work - well, these absolutely work.
Sherry - Thanks. The exchanges are a lot of fun and give me the opportunity to try different things.
Lin - Thank you. I heard that snow is on the way to NC. Hope it isn't too bad...just enough for good photos.

Dear Joan , lovely paintings ... i love this idea esp ...something bright and cheery to hang at home also ... in fact there is a sunniness to all your paintings :) a cheer me up effect ..
