Due to my MIL being in the hospital my plein air time has been cut. I managed to arrange yesterday's schedule to get a few hours free. This is 7 x 10 and was painted at the Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, NY. I'm not sure what this tiny cottage was used for (maybe the groundskeeper's home) but I loved that arched roof and the fairy-tale like look to it.

This is totally gorgeous! The cottage looks a lot like some of the thatch roofed cottages in my neck of the woods.

This is absolutely beautiful, Joan. I could so live here and I love that storybook charm myself!!
Maggie - I love cottages with character. Thanks.
Sherry - It would be a great building for a studio. Thank you.
i'M SO GLAD YOUR MIL is doing well enough to go home, Joan! This has been such a time ... but I'm thrilled all is going better! And hon, this painting is to die for! Cozy, inviting, incredibly beautiful -- there is joy here and you've captured it magnificently!
