I took a drive over to Connectquot State Park yesterday to see if there was a spot to sit in the car and paint. They let me drive over near the fish hatchery and I was able to park and paint. There were wonderful views in every direction, so I'll try to get back there again. This is 4 x 6.

Just beautiful. The shadows on the snow are wonderful. I do envy you that you can go out each day and paint.
Wow, I am so impressed that you worked this from your car! It is beautiful and I also like how you painted the light and shadows.
Oh I do love how you paint snow -- you make it look effortless and spontaneous! GORGEOUS work, JOan!
Sigh...Exquisite!
I've just been browsing through your blog and you have some lovely work here! I'm really drawn to your landscapes. They really seem to capture the feeling of being there. And your children's portraits are wonderful too. :)
Carol - Thanks. Retirement has advantages.
Maria - Thanks so much.
Lin - Thanks. This is the first year I'm getting a lot of snow practice.
Sherry - You are so sweet. Thank you.
