Yesterday we had about 12 inches of snow. After going for a walk and taking some photos of the snow, I perched myself by my living room window to paint the wonderland outside. This is 4 x 6.

- Joan
- I have always participated in the visual arts including watercolors, drawing and sketching, pen and ink, and photography. Since retiring from teaching I have devoted much of my time to watercolors, sometimes combining them with pen and ink or collage. Watercolor is the perfect medium to capture the beauty that surrounds us. I love to travel, and sketch and paint wherever I go. Painting, especially on location, captures the spirit and life of the subject. I hope to continue doing that for a long time to come.

Your view is stunning. We have the cold here but no snow...

Looks so cold and mightily snowy! LOVE it!!! My sis told me she too had a TON of snow on her upstairs porch ... so much so that she couldn't get out of the door there if she wanted to. Stay warm and safe --- I don't think this 'winter' weather is done with us!
