My sister and I went to the James McFaul Environmental Center in Wycoff, NJ to do the World Wide Sketchcrawl today. You can see the snow is still everywhere, even here in New Jersey. The first sketch was done from the car and the other three from inside the center. Luckily they have nice large windows with views.

OUTSTANDING, JOAN!!!! And brave to get out in all the snow! Here, we hunker down at the THREAT of snow! I LOVE the last image -- so well done, Joan!! I admire that you do all this so quickly!
Such beautiful pieces, Joan. You are truly magnificent at these landscapes. I haven't seen one yet that I haven't loved!
Fabulous sketches! You are so wonderful with these landscapes.
Joan, I love what you call sketches... that certainly look like mini watercolor paintings to me! Can you do a post about your process and materials? Are you sketching in pencil first or straight to pen? What pen are you using? What field box do you have or did you make your own (making a mini box right now).
Love these.
Joan, these are just fantastic! ...and so brave in the snow!!!!
Lin, Sherry, Carol, Teressa, & Maggie - Thanks so much. Painting the snow has really been a lot of fun.
These are amazing, as always. You have such a touch, they are just beautiful.
Beautiful, I don't get many chances to paint snow! Brrrr, looks cold, you deserve a special Plein aire sketching award for this.
