Ooh La La

I've wanted to paint this storefront in Sayville for a while. I just love the pink color. This is 3 x 5.

What a wonderful name for this charming and pink store! Another piece that reflects the sense of whimsy in you, Joan. Love it!

FABULOUS!!! You've reminded me too that Valentine's is coming soon!!! Very romantic window and beautifully done!! LOVE the snow scene below as well -- our snow lasted 30 minutes in the air -- nothing on the grounds .... sigh ..

Joan - Thanks!

Sherry - Thanks so much!

Lin - Thanks. Our snow is now muddy and ugly. I wish it was gone or that another (light) layer makes it pretty again.

Grabulous! _yes I did that right... it's so fabulous you just want to grab it and hold on! *wink*

Love the pink.

You asked about the texture on my WIP painting... you'll laugh.... it's done with spackle. I put it on with a knife and left it rough. Then pushed egg shells into the wet wall putty.

The other texture is from an orange sack that I pushed into the paste too.

I dried it and put a golden cranberry color over the whole thing. (red, black and gold iridescent)

Then I sponged off some of the color. It stayed in the grooves and cracks and gave a great color variance on all the levels.

Finally I hit the highest parts with silver iridescent. (and sealed with heavy gloss gel)

I'm excited about you getting acrylics! AND I didn't know blick took coupons.

I signed up to be an affiliate with blick hoping that it could help to offset the cost of doing the tutorials all year.

I'm having a blast, but spending a lot of time on it.. AND the running total of expenses is shocking! *wink* Bet you know all about that
