Calypso Palm

This was done late for the WDE on Wet Canvas. The reference photo was supplied by "Lisilk." I thank Li for this great reference. This is 11 x 15. I almost tossed it after working on it for about 2 hours, but it finally worked itself out of that "ugly" stage. I'm happy with the way it came out.

This is beautiful Joan! You captured that tree very well! With the dark places, this reference was harder than it looked. You did an excellent job!!!

Eileen - Thanks so much!

Lin - Thanks. I really did a lot of layering in this one. It took a lot longer than I expected.

Sherry - Thanks. I love palm trees with coconuts.

Beth - It doesn't have the vivid color of yours, but I was really happy wth it. You are right about the reference being harder than it looked. Thanks!!
