I love being able to paint outdoors! I'm not sure this guy felt the same way. lol This was done in Sayville were the fishing boats are stored for the winter. Yesterday I think there was someone repainting almost every boat I could see. I couldn't resist this. It is done in ink & watercolor in my little moleskin sketchbook.

Joan, sounds like another good day for sketching. Everyone taking advantage of a good day, even if it was work. Nice colors on this.
Beautifully done, you are good at choosing the important elements and deleting the others. I find that to be the hardest part.
Jo - Thanks. This spot always has a lot of activity on the boats, so it's fun to capture a bit of it.
Desiree - I find myself looking at things (especially on/around boats) and saying "What IS that?" Thanks so much.
Now that is some juxtaposition -- you painting on a pad, and this fellow painting his boat!! FANTASTIC job capturing it, Joan -- in all ways!! BRAVA!
Lin - Thank you!!! We all have our paint jobs to do. lol
Oh this is lovely Joan. Beautiful colours and great cropping.
I love boat scenes and you do this one so good. I love it.
