Saturday was the 26th World Wide Sketchcrawl. I usually do it with my sister, Michelle, but she had to much snow to venture over to NJ. Instead I headed to the Atlantis Marine World Aquarium in Riverhead, NY for a solo crawl. It was fun to paint the variety of fish and creatures there, as well as the sea amemones and the plant life.

Lovely work, Joan. I am becoming enamored of sketching I think. The one venue in which it doesn't matter how bad I really am. Love the colors; did you bring watercolors along on your sketchcrawl outing?
AWESOME work, Joan! And what a super idea to get out of the cold and snow.... we're in for a blast of snow tomorrow ...
Great venue, great spreads
Missed you Saturday, but we both got to sketch so that's good. Your aquarium sketches are so pretty, especially the tropical ones.
Sherry - Thanks. Sketching is a lot of fun and I enjoy it. I did bring a small set of watercolors, and dropped it twice. Each time the pans all fell out, and in the dim light I couldn't tell what colors were what.
Lin - Thanks. It was a good place to stay warm and dry.
Anita - Thanks so much!
Mickey - Thanks. We'll have to find someplace good for the next one.
What a great place for a sketchcrawl. Great work.
Great job on the sketches. They are lovely!
