Two by the Shore

This is 4 x 6 done in watercolors and ink for the "Warm Weather" Exchange on WetCanvas. As a reference I used two of the figures I had done in my moleskin journal at the beach last summer. I don't usually use one painting to inspire another one, but I needed some warm references. lol

Sitting here at the computer in a sweater, with an afghan over my knees, it's fun to see two kids playing in the sand at the beach. Gives one hope that summer will eventually catch up with us.

Nice little painting!

What a great job!! We've got rain, but by the end of the week, we'll be in the 70s again ...!!!!

I think watercolor and ink just has to be my favorite style of painting ever. Beautiful piece, Joan. And one that makes me long for the days when my own daughters were little...

Joan, this is wonderful. I can feel the fun the kids are having.
